Power Blog with Auntie Artichoke
By SEO Advisor | November 17, 2009
Hello from beautiful Montana: Who is Judy Wright and What\’s With the Artichoke
Since I am a writer, it is easy to write, but every single day!!! Yikes, that is not so easy. My mentor, Connie Ragan Green, suggested doing a power blog on my Ask Auntie Artichoke blog. She challenged me to post every day at least 150-300 words and to get my topic and name out in cyberspace.
I actually have two blogs on two completely different subjects. One is http://www.AskAuntieArtichoke.com which is mostly about family relationships and communication. it is much easier to write on a consistent basis because it is pretty much answering questions that come to me in parenting classes or in other forums. It is fun to share tips, tricks and ideas to enhance family life with those who are looking for ways to be a stronger, more resilient family.
Because I am an author of family relationship books, I use the blog posts to lead readers to the landing pages of my various books, programs or radio programs so they can find help. If they are interested in the subject of the blog post, they usually want more information.
Through the Power Blog with Auntie Artichoke I have been able to build a community of kind, thoughtful and understanding people who want respect for all.
People Like to Do Business With People They Like and Trust
All things being equal, people would rather do business with someone they know, like and trust and consider a friend. All things being unequal, people still like doing business with someone they know, like, trust and consider a friend. I also do a weekly radio show on blogtalk radio. The More Personal The Message, The More Universal the Understanding
My next blog is http://www.IfDeathIsNear.com and is about facing the loss of a loved one, ether human or animal. It is a little heavier subject and needs some real thought and concentration in order to have the right words of support and sympathy.
I never want to be in the position of trivializing someones pain and suffering, but by sharing my own stories, we become friends. Readers will find me warm, wise and non-judgmental.
I have posted a lot of guest posts or shared stories from those who contributed to my latest book “I Lost My Best Friend Today – Healing from loss of a Beloved Pet.” Those stories get comments and lead people to the landing page of the book, so they can find even more support.
Lately I have been adding a link to the Youtube videos which correspond with the blog post. That has been effective and people seem to enjoy them. http://www.youtube.com/user/ArtichokePress#p/u/22/zF1guwihT08
I also get lots of comments on the name of Auntie Artichoke and how and why I chose it and what it means to them. Auntie is an honorary name given in many cultures to wise women who offer support and love to others. Artichoke is my logo and it stands for finding the heart of the story in the journey of life.
It will be fun to connect with you and I welcome your comments as long as they are kind, thoughtful and respectful of all.
As my gift to you, please go to http://www.UseEncouragingWords.com for a free eBook on the power of communications.
Blessings from your friend,
Judy H. Wright aka Auntie Artichoke, family relationship author and motivational speaker
